"JAJiART is my way of turning faith into form — light I can hand to someone else."
Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bukola Jaji grew up in a quiet suburban community around trees, changing seasons, and family. Her story, however, is an extension of the journey of her mother, father, and the generations before her in West Africa, and the spirit of resilience carried in each of them to this present day.
This spirit, or light, is the core of her creativity and is expressed in her visual art and ambition. JAJiART was started in 2012 initially as an outlet for her inner frustrations but has transformed to visualize her spiritual revelations and to connect with others. By grounding herself in faith, culture, and expression, Bukola hopes her work inspires others to shine the best version of themselves as they go through their own personal obstacles.
